Confessions Of A Rock N Roller

Walking down a street, looking for a cool place to hang and have a beer… As I’m walkin, I pass in front of a terrasse of a nice ”trendy” restaurant. My eyes caught the face of someone reminding me of a singer I have just discovered. It’s HIM!!! next to the ”lookalike” is the boy with the hat. Next to the one with the hat, in front of the ”lookalike” is the girl without the wig. OK, this is too good to be true. I look at Penny and stop walking. Take another look, my own little voice is screaming inside. It cant be true… My head turns back one more time. The boy with the hat is looking at me; he knows I recognized him. He’s trying to hide in his jacket… I get the message that he’d rather like go unnoticed… So I decide to keep going on my mission for a place to hang out. In the meantime, a few calls to my friends who are gonna kill me if I dont go back… What should I do, what should I say?

After 15 minutes of walking around, Penny’s got a txt message sayin we should go to a certain bar… We turn around and walk toward some pub. I HAVE to pass by again. As I’m walking passed the restaurant, there’s 3 girls (I beleive a mom and daughters, but honnestly I was so in shock I dont remember…) were talking to them and took a picture. Ok, so, if I dont do this now, I wont get another chance. I’m getting to the table and apologize (so many times, I probably looked like a total idiot) for disturbing their night, chatted for a couple of minutes, about Sam’s music and their time in Vancouver. Penny got to take a picture of Rob, Nikki and I(after several try, battery was dying, flash was off…). I have never felt so stupid (I aint natural blond!!! lol) in my life but hey, who cares? I most probably wont run into them again and if I do, then I wont be in shock state of shock!

7am. I’m lying down on an airport bench. Earlier than early mornings are rough on me;) the plane is getting to the door and there’s more activities around, how do these people can be this awaken!??? Some talk loud, some keep running, im just waiting in silence to get there so i can sleep some more! Beleive it or not, i was awake before the alarm went on this morning; 4h15am was my internal wake up call, why!??? Anyways, im ready to take this, i have been looking forward to this so much and for quite long, my body’s just gonna have to endure! I just cant wait to show you pictures! Boarding time. See ya in my fantasy world! P.S. Pour tout ceux au travail, bonne semaine, ne vous ennuyez pas trop de moi ;) -Pouliche :)

Well, i was here for the opening act but man, that girl can sing! Not a big fan but shes a showgirl, gotta admit!

Week is over. Some more laudry. Some more family time. Amazing music from Chester French tomorrow (ok, they’re only opening for la dite ”Gaga” but so what?!). Flight to Vancouver. Pictures, many, many, many pictures to come :)

So earlier on, last night to be exact, I was wondering which suitcase to use to pack 2 weeks in. I choose the smallest one and surprised myself at how good I got at packing light! (I still got a hairdryer, flat iron, more than I need clothes and many many other things, c’mon, I’m a girl, I oubviously need all of this ;) so I’m down to 1 small suitcase, 1 bag / sleeping bag and my carry on bag.

I should say that I’m use to pack for roadtrips, I’ve been going around the east coast to see concerts for 10 years… I can still remember the feeling of hurry when my friends and I were running out of time to get to the greyhound station… (‘cause yes, we were having ‘bus” roadtrips!) A pack of girls running with as many bags as 2 arms could carry to be able to get to destination… I’ve got incredible memories of this, good and bad but at the end, it all comes to AMAZING souvenirs! I’ll post some pictures a little later on!

So I’m almost ready to hit the road, first stop: Vancouver. Sunday, March 29th, Juno awards in town, Twilight cast around, who knows who I’ll bump into!!! Airport meeting with my new friend, Penny, which I will formally introduce of course ;)

Jeudi, 4h58 pm, j’ai faim et trop de choses à préparer pour mon départ. Les printemps a osé se montrer le bout du nez hier mais malgré le soleil plombant et les degrés qui grimpaient le thermomètre je n’ai pas mis les pieds dehors; travail, travail, travail!!! Je dois tout terminer avant mon départ; question de pouvoir profiter à fond des prochaines 2 semaines :) Maintenant, je dois faire une (ou plusieurs) listes afin de ne pas réaliser une fois sur place que j’ai oublié ceci ou cela! (pour votre info, j’AIME faire des listes! Ça me fait croire que j’ai quelque contrôle sur mes activités!)

Dilemme; quelle valise prendre!??? petite? moyenne? grande? Éliminons immédiatement la grande, je risque de me faire dévisager pendant 2 semaines par la dizaine de personne qui seront mes colocataire de tour bus… Direction chez moi; faire la liste, ensuite on verra les possibilités de packaging!!!

Ok, so this is my first ”official” post on here, basically, this is just for you to have an idea of who I am, what I do and the rest you’ll figure out by yourselves!

I aint black or white but many shades of grey. I have bad tastes in food (i have a tendency to like fast food!) I love chocolate (a lot!), I enjoy summer, music and travelling. I dislike winter, I beleive I was born in the wrong country but I survived so far! Dont expect me to have a conversation in the early morning; waking up is hard to do! I am a girl; a material one = I love spending money on usefull and most of the times useless things I cant live without. I always watch tv with a blanket. I wish on stars and 11:11. I like having chocolate ice cream for breakfast and I recently discovered that there is an international ”Ice cream for breakfast” day; it’s the first Saturday of February! I’m a kid kodak as they call it; I love taking pictures! I love reading my horoscope and fortune cookies. I enjoy living my life and wouldnt change it with anyone, well most of the time!

There are times in life when you feel happy about what you have. These are my favorites! You feel you could do anything, go anywhere, it wouldnt matter everything would just be great. 5 days from now, I’m going to be heading to Vancouver, a place I only been once for a very short day! All these years of going to watch live bands from town to town and getting more and more into it are paying off!!! I have been working for a company that gives me the opportunity and actually encourages me to attend as many concerts as I’d like for 5 years now. Next week, I will be getting on board on the Rockstar Taste of Chaos for a tour across Canada! I’ll be joined by Penny, an australian lady who now lives in Alberta, who won a contest through the D-Tox (the company I work for) website. We still havent met, we’ll get together at the Vancouver airport next Sunday and start our exciting adventure on the road the next day!
